Window of time
I know how quickly the years will fly by with four teens at home. This isn’t my first rodeo. God began to whisper to me last summer that a transitioning season was ahead. One that would allow for pause with ministry life so I could prioritize the way I spend my next 1800ish days.
Instead of planning community events and building collaborations, this in-between window of time has been marked with greater intentionality as a family of twelve.
The creative dreamer in me is still very much alive and found so much joy in planning our family camp this summer.
From matching Tee’s down to the camp themed meals, God gave me vision for something grand to dream for at home.
We finished our time together around a circle jotting down things we’re grateful for and I echoed these words to them:
“Kids, please hear these words. Jesus is and always will be the glue that holds families together. If you keep your eyes on Him, no matter the hardships that life will bring you, beauty will come. There is absolutely no way on earth that we should be unified and thriving with our backstory. This is only a testimony to the complete grace of God.”
