Newfound Freedom

At last we have freedom, for Christ has set us free! We must always cherish this truth and firmly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past.
— Galatians 5:1 TPT

My favorite farm guy has been working extra hard around the new farm to shore up all the fencing areas for our animals. The previous owners had larger animals that didn’t require the same boundary lines that ours will.

At first, our farm girls made it obvious to us that they were not big fans of being relocated to a new place, but after just a few days of newfound freedom, it has become quite clear that they are beginning to be fans right along with the rest of us. There is going to be so much more open space for them to be free to run and play, which is what they love to do.

The Lord began speaking to me weeks ago about the new season we’re stepping into as a family. How it's an opportune time to let go of whatever needs to be released so that we can take hold of the new He has for us.

Well, only of if we were willing to partner with Him in this way of course. He never forces us to do anything. It’s always a choice.

We get to decide if we’ll take His hand to embrace what He’s putting right in front of us or not.

Where we had been living was lovely and kept us hidden being surrounded with woods, but that setting has served it’s purpose. Everything has a time and season and if you’re not careful, you can miss an opportunity when it comes along.

You see— for us—the solitude was only supposed to be for a season.

God created us to experience total freedom and you can’t do that when you’re trying to stay hidden for fear of what others will say or think.

Just like our sweet farm girls, we too are ready to run and be carefree. We are so aching to move forward into all that God has for us and I know that as we begin to experience what it’s like to live this way—We. Will. Never. Go. Back.

How about you? Are you ready to live in total freedom?
