Worth The Wait

I decided to go to a park today during my lunch break. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to soak in the warm, gentle sunshine of this beautiful day here in West Michigan. After a long, cold, and bitter winter, your heart can’t help but long for the hopeful promise of the springtime season.

The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him
— Lamentations 3:25

I’m not very good at waiting. And if I had to guess—you might not be either, because waiting can be hard for everyone.

But when I quiet my heart and truly listen to the Lord, I am gently reminded of how amazingly worthwhile those past seasons of life have been.

That’s what I sensed again today from Him — a gentle, reassuring nudge. It was a sweet reminder of how good and trustworthy He is, and how the longer the wait often makes the prize that much sweeter.

Whatever you might be waiting for today, may I encourage you to pause and take a moment to reflect on the gifts you’ve received in the past, remembering how perfectly they fit into your life and how deeply they touched you when they arrived.
